FULL OCTAVE TUNING FORKS
The Full Octave Tuning Forks are musical instruments that can assist in developing and refining sonic abilities. Our Tuning Forks cover a full octave of the harmonic scale: each interval or tone affects your nervous system in a different way by activating specific elemental qualities.
Instructions for Sounding Tuning Forks
There are two ways to sound your tuning forks. The first is to gently hold them by the stem and tap the end of the fork with the mallet that is included in your set. This creates a pure tone and is excellent for direct ear use. Using the mallet enhances the clarity and length of the vibrational tone.
The second way is by holding two forks by the stems and tapping them together twice to create an audible sound with overtones. Your body will naturally adjust itself and come into balance, making the two sounds into one. Many different sounds can be achieved by using the forks together. Move this sound around the energy field of your body; adjust the volume by the strength of the tap. If you wish to hum to this sound, your voice will resonate with the sound of the musical interval. With practice, you will be able to sonically "think" a tone without actually listening to the sound of the tuning fork, and your nervous system will respond.
Your tuning forks are musical instruments that need your style and ingenuity to be empowering. Begin your own exploration and discover how sound affects your body, mind and consciousness.
