YOU CHOOSE: Fit, Fat, Sick or Well, With Insulin Being the Deciding Factor.
For
several decades research has shown that Syndrome X or the Metabolic
Syndrome has been proven the be related to the diet we consume, which
leads to diabetes, high blood pressure, triglyceride levels, central
obesity, lower HDL levels with increased heart disease and strokes.
In
January 2026, at the Brimhall Homecoming I will elaborate how to
improve all of the stated aberrant levels, dysfunctions, improve weight,
help to lower blood pressure and central obesity by balancing our
metabolism.
This starts with good nutrition and should include:
Opti-Adrenal
Essential Protect
Essential Control
All
of these issues have a common X Factor, which is insulin. It seems
those in power, should have been helping us to eliminate obesity and
diabetes. Instead, they were stuck on two main false narratives. One
was that eating fat, caused fat in the body. The other falsehood was by
lowering calories and exercising more we would lose weight and prevent
diabetes. This approach did not cause lasting weight loss and did not
lower obesity or diabetes levels. That misguided mantra has allowed the
worst obesity and diabetes record of all times and increased blood
vascular disease.
The AMA, the Diabetes association, and related
organizations in almost all of the industrialized nations have been
pushing these wrong concepts. They have all said for decades to eat
less calories and exercise more to lose weight, be thinner and avoid
diabetes. The extensive research for all of these years has proved
otherwise over and over. It does not work.
The truth is
eating sugar and refined carbohydrates causes the release of insulin,
which raises Insulin levels, then later insulin resistance, which
creates high triglycerides, which increases fat storage and increases
abdominal fat, increased strength of the heart contraction and causes
water retention by raising sodium levels.
Here are the facts and figures of Metabolic Syndrome (Syndrome X):
- Abdominal obesity, measured by waist circumference: men over 40 inches and women over 35 inches.
- HDL with men less than 40 mg/dl or women less than 50 mg/dL or taking medication.
- High triglycerides of over 150 mg/dl or taking medication.
- High Blood Pressure being over 130mg/mm Hg systolic or over 85 mmHg, diastolic or taking medication.
- Fasting blood glucose greater than 100 mg/dL or taking medication
One
third of North Americans have been diagnosed with Syndrome X and that
raises the risk of heart disease by almost 300%. It also increases the
risk of stroke, cancer, NASH, PCOS and obstructive sleep apnea. More
and more children are demonstrating this syndrome at lower and lower
ages.
At Homecoming 2026, we will give you the rest of the
story. For now, know eating sugar and refined carbohydrates causes the
body to develop Syndrome X with all of the side effects stated. You
must understand Fructose is even more concerning than the other forms of
sugar because it leads to rapid fatty liver and insulin resistance.
Br
aware sucrose or table sugar is glucose and fructose in near equal
parts. Fructose does not involve insulin to be metabolized. I must
pass directly into the liver to be utilized. This means the liver has to
do it all and can not keep up with big gulps. Too much fructose causes
insulin resistance because the liver cannot keep up. This causes fatty
liver and in progression fatty pancreas and fatty muscles.
For
now, quit eating refined sugar and other carbohydrates. Do not drink
soft drinks sweetened with fructose. Do not use artificial sweeteners
as they are even worse.
