The Lungs and Respiratory System in Health & Dis-ease

opti_lung

This unique formulation provides a high level of beta-carotene
with B6 and a combination of herbs, glandulars and other nutrients designed to work synergistically in the respiratory system and associated organs.

The lungs are part of a group of organs and tissues—the respiratory system—that all work together to help you breathe. The lungs are the main organs of the respiratory system, and the main job of the respiratory system is to move fresh air into and get waste gases out of the body—a process called gas exchange.

Capillaries imbedded in the walls of the pulmonary alveoli process blood that is brought to them by the pulmonary artery and taken away by the pulmonary vein. While in the capillaries, the blood releases carbon dioxide (a respiratory waste product) through the capillary wall into the alveoli and absorbs oxygen from the air in the alveoli. This allows oxygen to pass freely into the blood and carbon dioxide to pass into the lungs for elimination.

The blood then delivers oxygen to every cell in your body to support life. At the cellular level, oxygen molecules are exchanged for carbon dioxide. The bloodstream then carries this waste product back to the lungs where it is removed from the bloodstream and exhaled from the body.  80% of the body’s detoxification takes place from the respiratory system and breath.

In addition to gas exchange, the respiratory system performs other important functions. These include bringing inhaled air to the proper body temperature, moisturizing the air to the right humidity, and protecting the body from harmful substances by eliminating them through coughing, sneezing, and filtering. The respiratory system also facilitates the sense of smell.

In “energy medicine,” which influences the body’s energy to promote balance and healing, the lungs have two dispersing functions. The first is to expel (disperse) pathogens we may inhale from our environment, and the second is to distribute nourishment via blood and body fluids throughout the entire body, including the skin and muscle tissues. In Chinese medicine, the lung refers to the whole respiratory system and includes the nose and sinuses. Since most human energy is derived from oxygen in the air, the lung is primarily responsible for physical vitality and is said to govern qi (chi) in the body.

OPTI-Lung™ is a nutritional supplement that provides a high level of beta-carotene and B6 and a combination of glandulars, herbs and other nutrients thought to work cooperatively in the respiratory system and associated organs. As a cornerstone of Chinese medicine and other studies, oral ingestion of animal glandular material is thought to strengthen the corresponding human gland by increasing its regeneration, tone, function, and/or activity. *

OHS formulations utilize:
• Activated B vitamins that require no enzymatic conversion in the body
to be utilized.
• Organic Chelated Minerals: Patented chelates are found to be absorbed
at a significantly greater rate than mineral salts or non-chelated forms of
minerals. Chelated minerals provide the benefit of not being used as a fuel
source for pathogens; and they do not bind with fiber, so they won’t be
flushed from the body before being absorbed. *
• 2nd generation vegetable capsules that protect nutrients from moisture
and oxygen.

I personally see no other formulations that come close to the whole food, synergistic, enzymatic pre-digested nutrients we use at OHS.  I have formulated over 200 formulas and I believe these OHS products (800-890-4547) are at the top.

Anywhere you want to get oxygen in and toxins out of the body could be supported by Opti-Lung.  It is obvious bronchitis, COPD, asthma, walking pneumonia and allergies should be a consideration for use.  But Royal Lee utilized lung formulas, that were much less synergistic and comprehensive to help ladies keep the fetus, once pregnant, by increasing oxygen to the tissues.

This gives you a lot to consider in assisting your patients to normalize function, along with other supportive treatment you already utilize like the Chiropractic Adjustment, Percussion, Visceral Manipulation, Acupuncture,
Dr Harris’s Methylation Protocol, Laser, PEMF, Bemer etc.  If you do not utilize these techniques or instruments, please go to www.brimhall.com or call the office at 480-964-5198.  We have training seminars and DVD’s that will assist you.
