Take Control of Your Autoimmune Disorder

This week’s Puzzle Piece is written by Brett B. Brimhall, DC for his patients.  We are posting it for your edification and to give you ideas on how to keep in touch with your following.  At the end, I will give ideas on how to approach treatment by improving function.  Dr John

Think of your immune system as your body’s security. The main functions of the immune system are to defend the body from germs and other foreign invaders. When your body spies an intruder such as a virus, parasite or bacterium, it tries to ward it off and kill it. Unfortunately, the body can sometimes fail to tell the difference between the invaders and its own self—the body then makes antibodies that are directed towards your body’s own tissues. These are called auto-antibodies and they attack your normal cells by mistake. To help prevent this, you must maintain a healthy immune system.
What Are Some of the Most Common Autoimmune Diseases? There are as many as 80 different types of autoimmune diseases and many have similar symptoms making it difficult to diagnose.  A short list for example:

·  Multiple sclerosis—affects the brain and spinal cord
·  Rheumatoid arthritis—the inflammation of joints and their surrounding tissues
·  Hashimoto’s disease—inflammation of the thyroid gland
·  Psoriasis—a skin condition that causes irritation and redness and also thick, flaky, silver-
·  White patches
·  Lupus—can damage any part of the body including the skin, joints, and/or organs within the body

Take Steps to Reduce the Symptoms and Cause of Your Autoimmune Disease

There are many ways to take control of your autoimmune disease
·  Stress Management—studies find that deep breathing, meditation and visualization can all contribute to reducing levels of the stress hormones in your body. These stress hormones are inflammatory which contributes to the inflammation behind many common autoimmune diseases.
·  Lifestyle Changes—adopt a healthier lifestyle to aid in your treatment of autoimmune disorders. Eating a healthy and balanced diet, maintaining a healthy body weight, reducing stress and making sure to exercise regularly can all make a difference.
·  Make an Adjustment—a natural approach to fighting an autoimmune disease, chiropractic helps to maximize your potential to heal yourself and ultimately improve physiological function.
Let us help you understand the true cause of your autoimmune condition and help you to take control today.

From a physician's treating options, lets expand on what Dr Brett told his patients:
We are known for developing the Six Steps To Wellness.  In Dr Brett’s office, which was a continuation of my practice, they do all 6 steps and do them very well.  By improving function, symptoms and conditions improve most of the time without treating the symptoms.  Below are some of the techniques and considerations for improving function.
    1.    STRUCTURAL:  we use and teach manual adjusting techniques, instrument adjusting     (ArthroStim and the Adjustor, Craniosacral treatment (manual and with the VibraCussor and      Percussor), AK, SOT, disc therapy, acupuncture etc
    2.    Removing and neutralizing Electromagnetic Pollution with specific multipolar magnets, Total     Shields and phone/computer/ laptop/videogame  EMF protection, such as the CELL SOLUTION.

    3.    We have 5 considerations we address on each patient in the NUTRITION evaluation and     treatment:
    a.    Support the body from stress with MaX Adrenal, B Activ and de-stress actions…
    b.    Test specific organs, glands and systems to support imbalance and dysfunction with blood,     hair, urine and kinesiology testing.  Support with MaX Heart, MaX Liver, MaX GI, MaX Thyroid, MaX     Iodine etc. Test the endocrine system with all possible methods, including symptom survey, blood,     urine, kinesiology and salivary testing etc. Balance with nutrition, such as MaX Thyroid, MaX Iodine,     MaX Hypothalamus/Pituitary and MaX Brain etc.
    c.    Support the Immune system.  Test for MaX Immune, MaX VRLand MaX GI
    d.    Digestion  and supplementation of Enzyme and HCL if indicated (XymoZymes, GastrAcid).
    e.    Add probiotics, such as ProbioMax DF Or ProbioMax Daily, etc.
    4.    Test for Allergies and Sensitivities and treat with food avoidance, Allergy/Sensitivity     Assessment (ASA) and homeopathic neutralizations, improve digestion and elimination, Blood     tests, etc.
    5.    Evaluate hidden emotional stress patters and limiting belief systems with stress reduction     techniques.  We teach several approaches at the seminars.

    6.    Evaluate the total body load of toxins with observation, blood, urine, hair, ASA, Kinesiology     etc. and treat with homeopathic formulas, such as MaX Lead, MaX Arsenic, etc and use specific     nutrition such as XenoProtX, CheleX, LipiChol. And i5.
This will give you a lot to process and let you know how we can help you with your patient care through the many techniques we have to offer.  Please refer to www.brimhall.com for seminar schedules, webinars already available for free, technique information and many products available.  You can call Jason or Solitaire at 866-338-4883 for any questions.
We look forward to seeing you soon,
