June 5, 2017 - (Video) Mercury Toxicity: The Great Mimicker
(Video) Mercury Toxicity: The Great Mimicker
June 5, 2017 Puzzle Piece
Ronald Grisanti D.C., D.A.B.C.O., D.A.C.B.N., M.S.
I have copied you on an article from Dr Grisanti, a premier teacher in Functional Medicine.
Please read it carefully and know well we need to detox heavy metals and especially Mercury.
Mercury toxicity is the great mimicker of a host of health challenges.
Here is a sample of what one should know about mercury toxicity.
1: Mercury is known to denervate nerve fibers,
similar to the pathology of multiple sclerosis. In other words it makes
it so the nerves do not work.
2: Mercury can leak into the blood-brain barrier and reduce nerve conduction velocity and visual evoked responses, diagnostic tests used for multiple sclerosis.
3: Mercury can inhibit the action (binding) of
happy hormones, like serotonin, at the synapse (nerve to nerve
connection) leading to depression.
4: Mercury can cause hearing loss.
5: Mercury can decrease norepinephrine and
dopamine activity at synapses, damaging our molecules of emotion. This
can make a person lack zip, enthusiasm, joy, and creativity and make him
anxious, insomniac, and terribly tense.
6: Mercury can create peripheral neuropathy,
auto-immunity and interferes with synapse transmission, decreasing
infection control so the unsuspecting victim gets recurrent sinusitis,
prostate or gum infections, as examples.
7: Hidden mercury toxicity can be at the root of a
resistant Candida infection. Sometimes you just cannot clear Candida
symptoms until you get rid of the mercury.
8: Mercury is also a major undiagnosed cause of chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia.
9: Whenever we see someone resistant to all treatments, there is a high probability mercury toxicity is at the root of it.
10: Mercury toxicity can create any baffling neurologic disease as well as impair cure for any disease of other body systems.
One of the most common symptoms we see from mercury toxicity is
that of terrible body burning and baffling pain that migrates.
But what neurologist looks for mercury toxicity?
And you certainly will never find it by doing an MRI.
Instead, folks get fictitious diagnoses like erythromelalgia,
fibromyalgia, idiopathic neuropathy, neurosis, idiopathic pain syndrome,
or hypochondriasis.
THE FACTS CONTAINED IN THIS ARTICLE AND VIDEO SHOULD SHOW YOU THE SIGNIFICANCE OF USING OPTI-ENVIRO AND OPTI-METALS DETOX.
We also recommend foot baths and Far
Infra-red Saunas. You can order the nutrients from OHS directly at
800-890-4547 and the foot baths and saunas from Jason at 480-964-5198 at

May 20, 2019 - When The Thyroid Kills Waistlines and Energy
When The Thyroid Kills Waistlines and Energy
May 20, 2019 Puzzle Piece
At
times, all the healthy eating and proper exercise routines are for
naught to lose weight. Sometimes, there’s something very wrong with your
body that’s causing you to either maintain your weight, or worse, pack
on the pounds. If that’s the case for you or your patients, it’s time to
get your thyroid checked.
Signs and Symptoms of a Malfunctioning Thyroid
● Nervousness
● Low Energy
● Depression
● Menstrual changes
● Mental fogginess and poor concentration
● Feeling bloated
● Racing heartbeat
● Aches and pains
● Heat intolerance or constantly feeling cold
● Dry skin
● Hair loss
● Change in bowel habits
● Sleeping too much or too little
● Loss of interest in intimacy
● High cholesterol levels
● Weight gain or excessive weight loss (even if you’re eating more)
Are You Hyper or Are You Hypo?
Your thyroid has a
Goldilocks zone that varies from person to person. Doctors used to
measure BMR (basal metabolic rate) but many physicians no longer use it.
It has shown to be ineffective, to be used alone, for weight
management. There are too many factors to be considered.
It
is important to evaluate blood tests, such as T3, T4 and TSH, but
what’s normal for one person may not be for another. Still, if your T3
and T4 are low and your TSH is high, you have an underactive thyroid. If
the situation is reversed, then it’s overactive. Both scenarios can
lead to seemingly incurable weight gain.
Both
hyper and hypo can be genetic and require treatment. Dr Harris’s
genetic testing, that he teaches across the country, can be an answer to
prayers. The prognosis can improve to achieve good to great function
with exacting, lifelong treatment to create proper epigenetic
expression. Synthetic drugs can correct thyroid hormone levels, but long
term use is demonstrating complications in many cases. Long-term
levothyroxine treatment, in young adults with congenital hypothyroidism,
is associated with impaired diastolic function and diminished exercise
capacity and increased intima-media thickness.”1 To put it plainly: heart problems are a potential complication.
Getting
thyroid medication right and keeping it right requires regular blood
work. Things change over time and serious health risks come with taking
too much or too little thyroid medication, including bone loss and heart
rate abnormalities.2
Medication
and genetics aside, a number of dietary and environmental factors can
influence thyroid hormone production and function. For instance, some
chemicals and compounds interfere with iodine uptake and thyroid
function, such as fluorine, bromine and chlorine. Consider using Opti-Metals Detox and Opti-Enviro Detox.
Still, scientists believe roughly 70% of the risk for developing
thyroid problems is genetic. Take Dr. Harris' Genetic Testing Seminar.
(Call OHS for registration at 800-890-4547. The other 30% can be
triggered by infections, stress, inadequate iodine intake or uptake,
smoking, taking certain medications, like amiodarone, living in polluted
environments and living in certain geographical locations. More
research is needed to understand these many triggers.
Sufficient
nutrient intake is crucial as a host of nutrients are needed to support
not only the production of thyroid hormones but the health and function
of the thyroid gland itself. Your thyroid depends on iodine, B
vitamins, selenium, zinc, tyrosine, vitamin D, and more to function well.
Nutrients Your Thyroid Needs to Stay at Peak Function
The
thyroid gland uses iodine from food and supplements to make the hormone
thyroxine (T4), which is converted to the more potent, bioactive form
called triiodothyronine (T3). Thyroid function works in concert with the
pituitary gland, adrenals, parathyroid, and sex glands, all of which
work together to maintain hormonal balance in the body.
For
example, the pituitary gland produces TSH (thyroid-stimulating
hormone), which helps regulate thyroxine hormone production. The
hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis and the
hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid (HPT) axis serve as avenues of
communication for these crucially important glands.
Opti-Thyroid
Part
of our OHS formulations, Dr. Brimhall’s line, has all of the
ingredients mentioned for optimal function. This formula has stood the
test of time with their effectiveness. Opti-Thyroid
provides whole food micronutrients that are essential for the
production of thyroid hormones, providing a foundation that best
supports the thyroid gland. It is the ONLY predigested formula including
both glandulars and whole food ingredients. The predigestion process
sets this formula above the rest because it guarantees delivery at the
cellular level and up to 300% better nutrient absorption.
Opti-Thyroid
provides tyrosine, iodine, and selenium, micronutrients that are
essential for the production of T4 and its conversion to T3. B vitamins
from a whole food cultured media blend are present to support energy
production, while vitamin C, vitamin E, and beta-carotene provide
support for antioxidant activity and tissue protection. Chelated
minerals, choline, betaine hydrochloride (HCl), and glutamic acid
provide further support for metabolic functions. Glandular support comes
from an Argentinian bovine source. They are predigested to ensure
safety, purity and usability by your body.

April 9, 2018 - CBD OIL From a Medical Doctor’s Prospective
CBD OIL From a Medical Doctor’s Prospective
April 9, 2018 Puzzle Piece
Al Sears, MD writes,
“Ten
years ago, Richard Holt fell out of his hotel window in a freak
accident. He crashed feet first into a concrete sidewalk — 24 feet
below.
Richard
was lucky to be alive. But the accident left him with broken bones in
both legs. His left heel was crushed. And in his right leg, his tibia
and fibula detached from their couplings and shattered.
Numerous
operations followed. After his surgeries, Richard was confined to a
wheelchair. This was followed by months on crutches. Finally, he was
able to take his first faltering steps alone…
Richard
was given the opioid painkiller OxyContin to help him cope with his
agony. But he didn’t like how it made him feel and he didn’t want to
become an addiction statistic, so he stopped taking it.
Richard’s
road to recovery was long. For the next decade, every step was filled
with excruciating pain. At some point, Richard rated his pain as a 10.
That’s the absolute top of the scale doctors use to measure pain.
Finally,
after years of trying to simply manage his pain, Richard turned to a
“miracle” oil that dates back more than 10,000 years.
He
describes the affect this oil had on his pain as “profound.” It made
such an amazing difference that Richard was even able to resume the
martial arts he was forced to give up years before.
The ancient oil Richard turned to is called cannabidiol, or CBD oil.
As
you may guess from the name, cannabidiol comes from the marijuana
plant. But even though the plant is becoming medicinally legal in more
and more states, I’m not recommending that you go out and buy marijuana.
The
marijuana plant contains more than 100 chemical compounds. But only one
of these compounds, THC, can alter the state of mind of the person
using it.
CBD, on the other hand, is not psychoactive and it cannot get you “high.”
But
what it can do is interact with and influence the receptors in your
brain that affect pain — including the opioid receptor. This is the same
receptor that Big Pharma’s dangerous and addictive drugs target.
Numerous first-person accounts — like Richard’s — provide anecdotal proof that CBD works.
And the science is finally starting to follow…
A 2012 study published in the Journal of Experimental Medicine found that CBD significantly suppressed chronic inflammation and pain in animals without causing either tolerance or addiction.1
In
a separate study, researchers applied CBD oil to severely arthritic
rats for four days. Their research reported a significant drop in
inflammation and pain, without side effects.2
After taking just a couple of drops of CBD oil, Richard says his pain goes from excruciating to a “dull niggle.”
But CBD goes even further than eliminating pain... Research published in the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and other peer-reviewed journals found that CBD oil can successfully treat:3
- Cancer
- Heart disease
- Anxiety and depression
- Inflammation
- Alzheimer's
- Diabetes
- Arthritis
- Epilepsy and seizures
- Neuropathy
- Inflammatory bowel disease
- Multiple sclerosis
- Glaucoma
What You Need to Look for in CBD Oil
If
you are considering taking this miracle oil for your pain, there are a
few things you should know. CBD oil can come from two sources —
marijuana or hemp. Both plants are part of the cannabis sativa species. But while marijuana contains 10% of the psychoactive compound that can get you high, hemp only has 0.3%.
And as of now, hemp-derived CBD oil is legal in all 50 states.4
But marijuana-based CBD oil is only legal in states that have passed a
law legalizing the medical use of marijuana. So depending on the CBD
product, it may or may not be legal where you live.
If you do choose to try CBD oil, here’s what to look for:
- Read
the ingredient list. Select products with high-quality ingredients.
Avoid corn syrup, GMOs, trans fats or artificial additives.
- Look
for a product that’s been lab tested. Find an oil that has been tested
for consistency, and verified as free of mold, bacteria, pesticides,
solvent residues and other contaminants.
- If
you live in a state with legal marijuana use, choose a CBD oil that’s
derived from high-resin whole plant cannabis. If you do not live in such
a state, CBD can also be extracted from industrial hemp plants. CBD
from hemp is readily available online.
At
this point, I need to say that the information I’m sharing with you
today is for educational and informational purposes only. I am not
advocating doing anything that could be against the laws of your state.”

April 3, 2017 - Where Do You Start on Complicated Patients?
Where Do You Start on Complicated Patients?
April 3, 2017 Puzzle Piece
I
get this question every week with the condition usually given a name
such as autoimmune, hypothyroid, chronic fatigue syndrome, osteoporosis,
liver failure, high cholesterol, heart condition etc.
The complete answer is do the “Six Steps to Wellness”: Structural
correction, electromagnetic balance, nutrition including both proper
diet and nutriceuticals, emotional release, detox heavy metals and other
toxins and allergy/sensitivity reprograming.
Let’s take a sample question this week of what do you give and do
for Osteoporosis, Autoimmune Disease, RA and Vascular Dementia.
To
be healthy begins with digestion and the gastrointestinal system.
80-90% of the immune system is in the GI tract as well. Therefore
considering immunity vs. autoimmunity, nutrient digestion and absorption
beginning in this GI system. The wellness approach states no matter
the symptoms, conditions or diagnosis, let’s treat the causes. In fact,
I have been known to state DC stands for Doctor of Cause.
For improved digestion and an optimal immune system in the GI tract, let’s consider the OHS Optimal Digestion,
which contains plant enzymes that help to digest proteins, fats and
carbohydrates. Second let’s give ourselves and patient’s pre and
probiotics like OHS’s Optimal Flora, which has the 8 different probiotics for each part of the small and large intestines, along with a variety of prebiotics.
Next let’s test the patient for heavy metals and environmental
toxins. If you use muscle testing, you will invariably find the OHS Opti-Enviro and/or Opti-Metals Detox
to be indicated. These have most of the common heavy metals and many
of the environmental toxins we are plagued with in our environment.
They are formulated in multiple tier homeopathic detox strengths. If
you do more in depth testing such as hair analysis and toxic urine
challenges, you will find these remedies necessary in most of those you
test. Heavy metals and environmental toxins can play a part of any
chronic disease, be it dementia, osteoporosis or rheumatoid arthritis
etc.
Whether using blood or urine testing, postural blood pressure, or
symptom survey, you will find many of your patients have a hypothyroid
and stressed adrenals at different levels of malfunction. You will find
hidden infections besides the heavy metals and environmental toxins
already mentioned. Many Wellness Physicians feel the mitochondria are
compromised in all chronic degenerative conditions. OHS Opti-Thyroid, Opti-Adrenal and Opti-Mito-Force
are my top choices from any other company by 300% due to their contents
being pre-digested and whole food nutrients. If hidden or obvious
infections demonstrate, I will use Opti-Immune-VRL.
Testing across the health care spectrum also shows over 90% of the
population in the US to be deficient in Vitamin D and Iodine. I use Longevi-D plus K2 at one twice per day and Opti-Iodine
at one per day from OHS for these deficiencies. Whole books are
written on the symptomatic expression of these important nutrients.
For proper bone support, I use Optimal BonePlus Calcium at
one three times per day. This product furnishes patented organic
calcium and whole food vitamin D. If indicated upon testing, in males I
would add Optimal Opti-T and for females Optimal Female + B.
If I found the blood sugar and/or the fat metabolism was off, I would use OHS Fat/Sugar/Trim and consider Opti-Methyl-B. Many patients that demonstrate degenerative conditions and system dysfunction, have genetic methylation problems. Opti-Nitric
could be especially helpful for increasing blood flow at one three
times per day. I would use this to prevent dementia and related
dysfunction. Fruits and Veggies from OHS help nine areas of health and wellness.
Along with this nutrient support, I am becoming a stronger
proponent of the Ketogenic Diet with each day I am on it. All of the
patients that are following it, under my care, are doing very well.
Many of the degenerative dysfunctions that take place world-wide are
blood sugar and insulin related. I have been on the Ketogenic approach
for 4 months now. I find it supports all other wellness and holistic
treatment, which compliments the body’s ability to move toward normal
function.
This last year I have been testing and using CBD oil from Hemp.
Last week I did the Puzzle Piece on myself using the CBD oil to amazing
good results. You can order the one I use directly from MagnaNutrients
at 480-939-3740 or www.MAGNANUTRIENTS.COM.
